trendy clothing Walk one block in the LA area and you will see at least one guy wearing a V-neck t-shirt. It has joined the ranks of trendy clothing across the country. I started wearing V-necks not because they are trendy clothing but because they are the only undershirt which doesn’t mess up the look of a dress shirt. A standard collar for an undershirt will creep above a dress shirts neckline and just doesn’t look that good. You might be thinking then why wear an undershirt at all and my somewhat embarrassing answer is pit sweat. An undershirt is the extra line of defense against pit stains which ins’t the best look in a corporate business situation. The V-neck is the perfect answer.

From its initial use to become trendy clothing happened what seems like overnight. It is hard to find t-shirts anymore that don’t have at least a semi V angle. On the other extreme, I have seen guys sporting pastel V-necks which dip down almost far enough to expose nipples. Trendy clothing is past my level of understanding but there is no doubt the V-neck has become trendy.
