My sister has always been a little on the eccentric side. I love her dearly, but she always tends to walk a little on the wild side, sometimes to the point of making me gasp in shock with some of her fashion clothing choices. Mom says she believes my sister does these things to get a reaction out of me, although I'm not completely sure of that. One thing I am sure of is that my sister does generally stir up a reaction from me with her idea of fashion clothing.

This past weekend was the perfect example. Mom was taking my sister and me out to lunch, and because we all live in different cities, we'd planned on meeting at a specific restaurant at lunch time. Now the restaurant doesn't require formal dress, but it is a little more upscale, so fashion clothing is always a safe bet. The truth is I asked mom if she knew what kind of fashion clothing my sister was going to wear ahead of time because I wanted to brace myself. The thing is, she doesn't wear ugly things, but just tends to combine them in a way that makes people look twice. Mom swears she doesn't do that when I'm not around, but I don't believe it.

I was the first to arrive at the restaurant, and I was pleased with the way that I looked. My daughter actually said I should wear the fashion clothing that I ultimately chose because she said it made me look younger, and skinnier. The latter was enough to make me want to order 10 more fashion clothing outfits like it, because who doesn't want to look skinnier? A few minutes later, mom arrived and shortly after my sister. I saw her and thought she looked great. I loved the trendy clothing that she was wearing and actually thought mom must have said something to her about the way she dressed when I saw the bag she was carrying. The bag was adorable, but it was definitely not something that complimented her trendy clothing, nor was it something that I felt was appropriate for the restaurant we were in.

I explained that I thought it was cute, but wasn't sure it was appropriate for this restaurant, and my sister proceeded to tell me to loosen up and stop worrying so much about fashion clothing and looking a certain way all the time.
