My daughter is going on a seven day cruise with a bunch of her girlfriends. She informed me, she couldn't just take her trendy clothing, she needed a formal dress. Not just any formal dress, but one that would make her stand out from all of her friends. She wants this formal dress to be beautiful, but different from everybody else’s formal dress. I think to myself, “Oh boy this will be a blast.” She wants to start looking now because, in her words, “we only have three months.” We have been on the computer looking not only for the perfect formal dress, but also women’s shoes. I have decided to stop pointing out what I like in a formal dress because, like every other teenage girl, she has perfected a 'look'. All you moms know what I talking about... The 'I am eighteen and I know everything about everything' look. I think, she has narrowed it down to a hot pink formal dress and a very elegant black formal dress. As for the women’s shoes, that has been narrowed down to six pairs for the pink dress and five for the black one. I guess, it is a good thing we have started three months early, because she still has to try it all on!
