fashion clothing, women's shoesMy step-granddaughter Alisha is crazy about fashion clothing at the moment. She started middle school back in August and since then she seems to have become obsessed with trendy clothing. In a way I think it is a good thing that Alisha is taking an interest in fashion clothing because we should care about how we look and try to make the right impression. However my husband and I have to watch Alisha very closely at the moment. The problem is that Alisha tends to have some favorite items of fashion clothing which she is wearing all of the time while the other items are left in the back of her closet. For instance in August we bought Alisha a pair of women's shoes for school (we can’t buy her kid’s shoes because her feet are a size six and a half). I realized yesterday that she has not worn this pair of women's shoes once and it is now October. Instead she is wearing out a pair of high tops. I wonder how she will react when we refuse to replace the high tops once she has worn them out. Her interest in fashion clothing means that Alisha’s appearance at school is always neat and tidy and I'm glad about that. Still she will be very sorry if she doesn’t make use of all of the clothes and shoes in her closet regardless of whether she thinks that they are trendy or not.
