When I bought my daughter a Raggedy Ann doll at a thrift store not too long ago, I had no idea that she’d come up with this crazy idea to dress her in fashion clothing. My daughter is 16 and has a love of trendy clothing herself, but I thought the Raggedy Ann doll would be something great that she could take with her to college and put on her bed. Several days later, she came in to the living room and asked if we could look online and see about getting some fashion clothing for her, and also for her doll. I honestly thought she was joking at first, but it didn’t take me long to find out that she was more than serious. She said she thought it would be fun to change the doll’s clothing to reflect what she was wearing each day and that it would be something that no one else had thought of. I had to admit she was probably right about that, but I assured her that unless she could talk her grandmother into making the fashion clothing that it wasn’t going to happen. Having to buy clothes for one child is enough.
