formal dress, fashion clothingWe were sitting around my kitchen over the weekend talking about the random experiences we had during and before high school prom. One of our female friends had a really funny story about her black formal dress. After finding and buying the black formal dress online, she took it to a local dry cleaner for alterations. The length was a little long going well over her knees. She had told them to hem it so many inches above her knee. This was all last minute on the afternoon before prom. When she picked up the formal dress and tried it on, they had hemmed it way up to her upper thigh.

With no time to change it once again, she said her formal dress made her look like the prom skank. It made dancing hard because how high it was. She said it with a laugh but I can only imagine how mad she was at the time. That’s how all funny stories go. They usually are sort of embarrassing at the time but in retrospect hard not to laugh at. She has never taken any of her fashion clothing to that dry cleaner since.
