Looking for Women's Shoes, Found a Great Bag |

Carnival season is in full swing in the Deep South, and that means time to shop! There are parades to be in, balls to attend, and I am one person who won't be seen wearing the same formal dress twice. In fact, once I choose and wear the formal dress for a specific party or ball, I usually resell the gown so that someone else can get the enjoyment out of it that I did.
I am the queen of one of the carnival balls this year and that means that I have to look better than ever. I have found the perfect formal dress, and have been trying to find the right women's shoes to go along with the dress. So far I haven't had much luck, but the search continues. What I did find, while browsing for women's shoes was a handbag. It wasn't exactly my intention to buy a new bag for the ball, but it will look great with my dress, and is the exact color of the women's shoes that I'm hoping to find. I also knew that I could use it for both casual and formal dress, so I couldn't resist ordering Christian Dior Plisse East West Bag Yellow that I found for a great price at The Last Boutique whose online store can be found at www.thelastboutique.com.
Since I tend to have more bags and shoes than my husband things necessary, I decided not to tell him just yet about my most recent purchase. I know he'll eventually see it, but I'm thinking that I won't pull out the bag until I put on my formal dress and women's shoes. He'll see the complete outfit and hopefully not ask too many questions. If he does, I'll just remind him that it is carnival season and that means not only time to splurge, but also time to look my best. After all, how can the queen not look her best?
Now if I can continue to browse and find the shoes that I want in the exact same color, I will look fantastic. My best friend told me that I'm going a little out on a limb wearing a formal dress in such bright colors, but she should know me well enough by now, that a little black dress has its place and this ball isn't it! After all, the queen has to outshine them all doesn't she? |
