women's shoes, trendy clothingIt was about 10 am after a long night sitting at my kitchen table drinking beers and reliving memories of our childhood. A long time friend was in town and on that day’s agenda was a mild hike very close to where I live. The problem was he didn’t bring any athletic shoes. He had a pair of brown leather dress shoes that have been featured in many of the 2010 trendy clothing magazines. At first, he was quick to say the leather shoes would be no problem on the hike and worst case scenario he’d have to clean them afterwards. I convinced him otherwise since this hike at times was pretty intense and flat bottom shoes may not get grip.

Sitting in the trunk of my car were women's shoes of the athletic variety. My girlfriend had left the shoes in there and I went to go grab them. My shoes were much too big for his feet. The women's shoes slipped right on. He mentioned they were a little small but I think that was just cover since my girlfriend’s shoes fit him. He ended up swallowing his pride and wore them to the trail.
