When my daughter told me recently that she signed me up to get a makeover on one of the television shows, I thought maybe it was time I did some shopping for fashion clothing. I asked her what was wrong with the way I looked and what I wear and she literally rolled her eyes. She said that the fashion clothing I currently wore was in fashion in the 80’s and she thought that I was stuck there, complete with hair style and choice of music. I felt a little sting as my daughter said these words to me, but the truth is I knew she was right. I’d been so busy taking care of her and her dad for the last 20 years that I hadn’t given much thought to myself.
I asked her if she’d help me look for some fashion clothing online since I knew that’s where I could find the best prices. You would have thought she’d struck it rich when I asked her that, because immediately she grabbed her laptop and started searching. We actually ordered several fashion clothing outfits and she’s made an appointment for me to meet with her stylist. I guess it’s time to join the new millennium.
